A Little More About Me
I didn’t set out to become a photographer. Quite frankly, I listened to adults that always told me that art wouldn’t pay the bills. After years of listening to my brain instead of my heart, I decided that my passion for photography was greater than my desire to meet other’s expectations.
To say that road towards pursuing photography as a career was a journey, would be a severe understatement. It only took me 6 years and a Bachelor’s degree in Italian Studies from Johns Hopkins University as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Penn State, for me to realize I needed to follow my heart. However, I am beyond grateful for that journey because it led this city girl from Northeast, New Jersey to find her soulmate, pursue a passion for art, and blend that passion with business.
It was while in college that I met a handsome boy, Matt… and 8 years later, that handsome boy is my husband and father to our greatest blessing, Levi. Like many photographers, I dabbled in everything from weddings to sports, trying to find what I loved most. Meanwhile, family photography kind of fell into my lap. It also happened to be the kind of work that spoke to my soul. I found that as a family photographer, my clients trusted me to preserve their most treasured moments and turn them to family heirlooms.
Now, I get to wake up every morning and do something I completely love. It’s not something I take lightly, and I’m continually humbled and honored when people choose to have me document some of the most life changing seasons of their lives.
